Alexander Payne exits HBO Olivia Colman miniseries Landscapers

Payne was set to executive produce and direct Landscapers, written by Colman's husband Ed Sinclair. News of the departure comes less than two months after Rose McGowen accused him of raping her when she was 15 years old, which he denies. "According to a spokesperson for Payne, he is leaving Landscapers due to a scheduling conflict," reports Variety. "Sources say the conflict arose from the show’s production being shifted to early next year due to COVID-19."
