Al Michaels has been calling primetime NFL games for 32 years, but Saturday will mark the first time he’ll call an NFL game from his hometown Los Angeles

Michaels won’t have to travel far for Saturday’s NFC wildcard playoff game between the Atlanta Falcons and the L.A. Rams at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. The stadium is 11 miles from his high school and a short drive from his home in Brentwood. In Michaels's 32 years of calling NFL games on ABC's Monday Night Football and NBC's Sunday Night Football, he never worked a Raiders game when they were in Los Angeles and called six Rams games when they were in Anaheim. ALSO: Michaels will become only the second person to call a 10th Super Bowl.
