After Riverdale star K.J. Apa’s car crash, Warner Bros. TV denies accusations it has unsafe working conditions

  • The actor, who plays Archie on The CW comic book adaptation, apparently fell asleep while driving after working a 16-hour day and was uninjured in the crash. According to Variety, “following the accident, several actors confronted producers regarding transportation policies for the show, which they believed contributed to an unsafe work environment.” SAG-AFTRA says it will investigate the actors’ working conditions. Warner Bros said the safety of cast and crew is of “paramount importance” and that cast and crew are informed that the studio will pay for taxi, a driver, or a hotel room for cast and crew members who don’t feel safe to drive.
