Adam Levine apologizes after falsely ranting on Instagram that MTV's VMAs didn't nominate Childish Gambino's "This is America"

In fact, Childish Gambino was among the most-nominated performers for this year's VMAs, including Video of the Year for "This Is America." When Levine realized his mistake, he deleted his Instagram post, and tweeted: "Sh*t. I don’t usually put my foot in my mouth. But this time, I did. ‘This is America’ actually WAS nominated for 7 VMAs. How I didn’t  get the right info is beyond me. I stand corrected. I’m sorry MTV.  Still hate you though. but mostly, I’m sorry."
