ABC staggers its fall schedule rollout: The Conners premieres Oct. 16

In fact, ABC's entire Tuesday slate won't premiere until Oct. 16, the fourth week of the TV season. The Roseanne Barr-less The Conners will kick off Tuesdays on Oct. 16, followed by The Kids Are Alright, Black-ish, Splitting Up Together and The Rookie. Additionally, ABC is bringing back the "TGIF" comedy block name with the Oct. 5 premiere of Fresh Off the Boat and Speechless on Friday nights. Grey's Anatomy will get a two-hour premiere on Sept. 27, while The Alec Baldwin Show debuts on Sunday, Oct. 14.
