The 1992 Hollywood takedown starring Tim Robbins is set to become a TV series from Michael Tolkin, who wrote The Player and the book it's based on as well as Showtime's upcoming limited series Escape at Dannemora. Tolkin says he's in the early stages of developing a sequel series of The Player with Warner Bros. TV.
