Joyner Lucas has responded to Skepta's diss track, Friendly Fire. Four days after its release, Lucas dropped his diss track, Nobody Cares, on July 15, 2025.

Joyner Lucas called the UK rapper's diss "hilarious" and stated that he was losing popularity in his country, which is why he came to the US, and acted "arrogant." Lucas also mocked Skepta, saying he wished he were American.

"I know you hate being home, you come to the States and try to be arrogant / I bet you sit in your room and secretly wish that you was American / Soon as I heard your diss, was shaking my head, the sh*t was hilarious," Joyner Lucas rapped.

For the unversed, the feud started earlier this month when an internet user commented that the UK rappers can't compete against American rappers. Skepta replied, saying that Americans don't listen to UK rap, but they listen to US rap, which is why US rappers can't win against them.

Lucas then screenshotted the tweet and stated on July 5, 2025, that he was ready for a rap battle. Skepta released the first diss track, Friendly Fire, on July 11, 2025, in which he called Lucas a "joke" and said he rapped in "default speed."

"Where I'm from, I'm a GOAT / Where you're from, you're a joke / SK turn you to a ghost, yo / Talkin' like you're lyrical miracle, oh please / Where I come from, that's a default speed," Skepta rapped.

Joyner Lucas mentioned Drake in his new diss track, as the rapper seemingly referred to the UK vs US rap battle during his set

On July 13, 2025, Drake performed at the Wireless Festival, bringing out Skepta, J Hus, Dave, 21 Savage, Central Cee, Sexyy Red, Latto, and Vanessa Carlton, among others. While introducing Skepta, Drake seemingly referred to the US vs UK rap battle, as he said the American rappers can't "out-rap" rappers from London.

"No disrespect to America, but nobody in the world can out‑rap London rappers," Drake said.

Joyner Lucas retweeted the clip of Drake's introduction with only a laughing emoji. In his new diss track, he mentioned Drake, dissing Skepta by saying nobody cares about their friendship or how close they are. Lucas claimed that Skepta isn't even in the top ten rappers on his coast.

"Nobody cares about how you and Drizzy are close / Or how you invented UK Rap, but still ain't top ten on your Coast, n***a," Lucas rapped.

Back in November 2024, Skepta was asked about the Kendrick Lamar and Drake beef when he appeared on The Ebro Show. The rapper didn't pick a side. Instead, he stated that the feud was affecting the entire rap scene, and if they didn't like each other, they should have talked it out or entirely ignored each other.

Skepta addressed the show in his track, Friendly Fire, as he claimed the host, Ebro Darden, asked the question for clicks.

Meanwhile, Skepta has not responded to Joyner Lucas' new diss track.
