Will Ferrell Joins Saturday Night Live's Five-Timers Club

It's always a special night when an SNL host joins the exclusive ranks of the Five-Timer's Club. That Will Ferrell is only the fourth former cast member to do so (Chevy Chase, Bill Murray and Tina Fey precede him) makes tonight's episode all the more momentous. Also tonight: the cable premiere of Jordan Peele's Us, a new HBO comedy special, true crime and holiday romance. Here's what's new and noteworthy on TV this Saturday:

NEW EPISODE: Will Ferrell's legacy looms large at Saturday Night Live,  Arguably the biggest star to emerge from the show's more modern era, the list of characters and impressions he brought to life during his seven-years as a cast member is dizzying. Expect a good number of blasts from the past when he hosts tonight with musical guest King Princess. 11:30 PM ET/8:30 PM PT on NBC

CABLE PREMIERE: HBO's big movie premiere this week is Us. Jordan Peele's second film as writer and director follows a vacationing family as they're terrorized by their own disfigured doppelgangers. Watch the trailer. 8:00 PM ET on HBO

COMEDY SPECIAL: Lil Rel Howery (who appeared in Jordan Peele's first film, Get Out) makes his HBO stand-up comedy debut in  Lil Rel Howery: Live in Crenshaw, in which he discusses parenting, money troubles, and success. 10:00 PM ET on HBO

MADE FOR TV MOVIE: Following Christmas at Graceland and Wedding at Graceland, Christmas at Graceland: Home for the Holidays features new cast members Adrian Grenier (Entourage) and Kaitlin Doubleday (Nashville) in a holiday romance set at Elvis' legendary estate. Priscilla Presley guest stars. 8:00 PM ET on Hallmark
