Quantum Leap is sticking around a little longer this season.

NBC has ordered an additional six episodes of the series' first season, bringing the total Season 1 episode count from 12 to 18. The revival is the first new series of the 2022-2023 broadcast season to get an extension.

A sequel to the 1989-1993 series of the same name, Quantum Leap stars Raymond Lee as Dr. Ben Seong, a world-renowned physicist whose team hopes to restart the Quantum Leap accelerator project 30 years after Dr. Sam Beckett (Scott Bakula in the original series) stepped into the machine and disappeared. Also starring Ernie Hudson, Caitlin Bassett, Mason Alexander Park, and Nanrisa Lee, the series is reportedly the highest-rated new series in the 18-49 demographic.

Martin Gero serves as showrunner for the revival, which premiered on September 19.

Quantum Leap airs Mondays at 10/9c on NBC and streams next-day on Peacock.
