Michael Wolff’s new book Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House also claims that President Trump wanted to attend the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, but had to be talked out of it for fear of him looking terrible in front of the White House press corps. Wolff writes that for his SNL appearance in 2015, Trump refused to rehearse and insisted on improvising.
