Wanda Sykes lands her first Netflix special months after complaining about its standup pay gap

When Mo'Nique complained about Netflix only offering her $500,000 for a standup special in January, Sykes responded: "thank you for speaking out. @netflix offered me less than half of your $500k. I was offended but found another home. #EPIX." Eight months later, Sykes and Netflix have announced her first standup special for the streaming service, premiering in 2019.
