Mike White's HBO satirical dramedy returning for a second season with a character from Season 1 doesn't mean that it's not a limited series, according to a TV Academy ruling. “In this case, the reappearance in a subsequent ‘season’ of one character from a large ensemble does not prohibit eligibility based on Academy’s main criteria for limited series," the TV Academy said in its ruling.
