The Walking Dead stuntman John Bernecker's estate awarded $8.6 million, but AMC found not negligent after jury trial

AMC Networks was found “not to be negligent” in the July 2017 death of the stuntman, yet a Georgia awarded his estate $8.6 million in civil damages that is expected to be covered by AMC's insurance. Bernecker died two days after suffering massive head injuries after falling head first off a balcony while performing a fight scene for Season 8.
