WATCH: Tanya Roberts' longtime boyfriend learned she was still alive while discussing her "death" with Inside Edition

Lance O’Brien, who had been misidentified as the former That '70s Show and Charlie's Angels star's husband, was taping an interview with Inside Edition when he received a call that Roberts -- whom he has been in a relationship with for 18 years -- was still alive. “Now, you are telling me she’s alive?" he said. "The hospital is telling me she is alive. They are calling me from the ICU team." O'Brien said he was led to believe Roberts had died because he spent Sunday with her during what he believed were her final hours. "When she saw me and I was there, I saw her eyes open," he said. "I felt good. I said, 'Hey, her eyes are opening. Her eyes are opening.' They told me that's just a reflex." Meanwhile, Roberts' PR rep, who Mike Pingel, who had to backtrack on the death announcement, tells People O'Brien "is still distraught and exhausted."
