Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi to begin filming in April, announces a main cast that includes Kumail Nanjiani

Nanjiani, Rupert Friend, Moses Ingram, Sung Kang, Simone Kessell, O’Shea Jackson Jr. and Uncut Gems director Benny Safdie will be part of the new Star Wars series, set 10 years after the events of Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. None of their character details were released. Additionally, Joel Edgerton and Bonnie Piesse will reprise their prequel trilogy roles as young Luke Skywalker’s Uncle Owen Lars and Aunt Beru. They join the previously announced Ewan McGregor, Hayden Christensen and Indira Varma.
