San Diego mayor denies Orlando Bloom's claim he left Carnival Row's Comic-Con exhibit over its immigration theme

Amazon offered an interactive Comic-Con exhibit that allowed attendees to play a human or creature character. San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer reportedly chose a human character without realizing that all the humans are immigrants and that he would be playing a "mythological scrappy immigrant." Bloom said during Carnival Row's Comic-Con panel that Faulconer abruptly left the exhibit. The mayor's spokesperson denied Bloom's claim, saying: "The mayor never even went inside the activation for this show as there was a wait."
