Samantha Bee rips the media for calling bad cops "bad apples" and ignoring the Breonna Taylor case

“A police officer who murders someone isn’t a ‘bad apple,’” Bee said on this week's Full Frontal. “A police officer who murders someone is a murderer.” Bee also said it's terrible that it took the video of George Floyd being killed while in police custody for the problem of police brutality to become a serious national issue. Bee said that “to see how f*cking awful it can be when cameras aren’t rolling” all you have to do is look at the case of Breonna Taylor, who was shot at least eight times by police in her own home and did not become national news until two months later. “It’s abhorrent that it took two other high-profile murders to make Breonna’s death a national story,” Bee said.
