SNL's Cecily Strong writes about the grief she's experiencing in quarantine while grieving her cousin

Strong may have provided an answer to why she was largely absent from the recent Saturday Night Live At Home special episode. In an essay for Vulture, Strong detailed how her cousin Owen died of brain cancer in January while she was beginning a new romantic relationship. “I’m in the middle of my two-week quarantine in my tiny apartment in New York. I’ve cried every day,” she wrote. She also wrote about being scared when her new partner, whom she calls Jack, tested positive for coronavirus.
