Nicollette Sheridan is leaving Dynasty

Sheridan is exiting The CW reboot a little over a year after joining midway through Season 1 to take on the role of Alexis Carrington, the legendary Dynasty character originated by Joan Collins. Dynasty marked Sheridan's first regular TV role since her controversial exit from Desperate Housewives in 2009. “Nicollette Sheridan will be leaving Dynasty in order to focus on some personal family responsibilities," CBS Television Studios said in a statement. "She was a valuable asset to the show and we wish her continued success in the future.” According to TVLine, Sheridan's role may be recast after her March departure. Dynasty has already been renewed for a third season.
