Nathan for You's Nathan Fielder is headed to HBO to star in a comedy pilot

The former Comedy Central star has signed a one-year overall deal with HBO, Variety reports. Under the deal, Fielder will star, write and direct a comedy pilot. Plot details of the comedy are being kept under wraps. The pilot will be Fielder's first major project since wrapping Nathan for You in November 2017 after four seasons. Fielder will also executive produce How To…With John Wilson, starring John Wilson as an anxious New Yorker "who attempts to give everyday advice while dealing with his own personal issues," according to Variety. Wilson, a lo-fi documentarian known for his "diaristic images" of New York City, will covertly document "the lives of fellow New Yorkers in a comic odyssey of self-discovery, inevitably making the audience comfortable with the awkward contradictions of modern life."
