Marie Osmond is reportedly replacing Sara Gilbert on The Talk after some grumbling

The Talk is planning to officially announce Osmond as Gilbert's replacement on Tuesday's show, reports TMZ. Osmond was chosen because ratings spiked when she's previously guest-hosted the show. "That said, there's a little grumbling with a few of the women," TMZ adds. "We're told they feel a better replacement for Sara would have been someone younger and edgier ... not the 59-year-old singer. But, the bosses laid down the law, and Marie is a go." TMZ adds that since Osmond has a Las Vegas residency, she'll have to fly back and forth to Los Angeles. Osmond is no stranger to daytime talk shows, having hosted Donny & Marie with her brother from 1998 to 2000.
