Lisa Kudrow reveals she struggled with playing Phoebe on Friends in Season 3

Kudrow, who won an Emmy for her Friends role after Season 4, tells Kevin Nealon on Hiking with Kevin that she needed convincing from co-star Matt LeBlanc when she struggled with Phoebe role in Season 3. “He went, ‘You’re her,'” Kudrow tells Nealon. “‘Relax. You got it. You’ve been doing this f—ing character for three years. You’re working too hard. That’s your problem: You don’t need to work as hard. Relax.’ And he was right!”
