Ken Watanabe boards HBO Max's Tokyo Vice, co-starring with Ansel Elgort

The Japanese Godzilla and Letters from Iwo Jima actor will play a detective in the organized crime division of Tokyo's police department who serves as a father figure to Elgort's American journalist character. Watanabe will also serve as an executive producer on Tokyo Vice, which has received a 10-episode straight-to-series order.
