IFC orders musical sketch show Sherman's Showcase from Late Night with Jimmy Fallon alums

Bashir Salahuddin and Diallo Riddle, who co-wrote and appeared on camera on Fallon's Late Night show, are behind Sherman's Showcase. With John Legend producing, the variety sketch comedy show will feature Salahuddin in the role of host Sherman McDaniel, "taking viewers through time via music and comedy drawn from the four-decade library of his fictional musical variety show." The eight-episode series aims to be in the vein of In Living Color, The Midnight Special and Soul Train.
