CMT moves CMT Artists of the Year from October to June to celebrate pandemic heroes

The 2020 edition of the CMT Artists of the Year special has been rebranded CMT Celebrates Our Heroes: An Artists of the Year Special, a virtual live event airing June 3. It will take the place of the the CMT Music Awards, which was moved to October. The two-hour special will feature Brothers Osborne, Florida Georgia Line, Kelsea Ballerini, Lady Antebellum, Little Big Town, Miranda Lambert and Thomas Rhett paying tribute to those on the frontlines of the coronavirus fight.
