CBS settles lawsuit over MacGyver profits stemming from the 2016 reboot

Major Talent Agency had sued, saying that it was entitled to a percentage of gross broadcast network license fees for any spinoff. But CBS argued that the 2016 MacGyver reboot wasn't an actual spinoff. The settlement avoids a trial that was to begin next month.
