Angel cast and creators reunite in honor of the 20th anniversary

“It’s good to see everybody!” David Boreanaz said as EW reunited him and his fellow Angel co-stars for a reunion cover story. “Look at that smile,” he added, gesturing to Charisma Carpenter with affection. “We just picked up where we were last time we talked to each other.” Amy Acker said of the reunion: "Every show should be this fun. We were so spoiled.” Angel, a spinoff of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, premiered on The WB on Oct. 5, 1999. ALSO: Angel co-creator David Greenwalt reveals WB shut down production early in Season 1 over a "dark" scene that had Boreanaz's character licking a dying girl's blood.
