Amazon mulls scrapping its public pilot season

Amazon is considering not putting up the two comedy pilots that it is considering, one from The Office’s Greg Daniels and the other from How I Met Your Mother creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas. Departed Amazon programming chief Roy Price hinted at such a move over the summer, saying “the reality of the marketplace is it’s competitive and often you just have to go to series.”
