Alex Trebek is taking a brief Jeopardy! break as he recovers from surgery

Trebek released a YouTube video saying he’s still recovering from a fall suffered “about two months ago” that created new problems over the holiday break, resulting in surgery to remove blood clots from his brain. “Surgery was performed. After two days in the hospital, I came home to start recovery,” Trebek said in the video. “The prognosis is excellent, and I expect to be back in the studio taping more ‘Jeopardy!’ programs very, very soon.” Trebek’s recovery will delay the College championship that was scheduled to tape next week.
