Love Island Hops From CBS to Peacock, 2022 MLB All-Star Game

    Reality TV’s summer of love begins in earnest today as Love Island USA makes the jump from CBS to Peacock. Modern Family’s Sarah Hyland takes over hosting duties this season, with narration from franchise veteran Iain Sterling.

    Also today: Baseball’s biggest names gather for the 2022 All-Star Game, Paramount+ charts the story of Don McLean’s “American Pie” in The Day the Music Died, Hulu and ABC News partner on a documentary about the maternal health crisis, and more. Here’s what’s new and noteworthy on TV this Tuesday:

    Love Island USA: Season 4 premiere. After three seasons on CBS, the romantic competition series debuts exclusively on streaming for another season of fun in the sun. Season 4 was filmed at a villa on the California coast, where a group of sexy singles must couple up, for fear of elimination. Episodes drop every Tuesday-Sunday. Watch trailer. Streaming on Peacock

    2022 MLB All-Star Game: Stars from the American and National Leagues face off at Dodgers Stadium in Los Angeles in the MLB’s annual mid-season event. This year’s lineup includes Aaron Judge, Shohei Ohtani, Bryce Harper, and more big names. 7:00 PM ET/4:00 PM PT on FOX

    The Day the Music Died: American Pie: Original documentary. Don McLean reveals the secrets behind his iconic anthem in this new music doc from director Mark Moormann (Tom Dowd & the Language of Music). The film also touches on the cultural moment of the 1970s and how a new generation of artists are incorporating the themes of “American Pie” into their own work. Watch trailer.     Aftershock: Original documentary. Following the deaths of two Black women due to childbirth complications, two bereaved families galvanize activists, birth-workers, and physicians to reckon with the U.S. maternal health crisis.     Only Murders in the Building: New episode. Mabel (Selena Gomez) hosts a party for an eclectic art crowd which also serves a double purpose for smoking out a liar in the trio’s midst. Streaming on Hulu

    David A. Arnold: It Ain’t for the Weak: Comedy special. Performing in Cleveland, David A. Arnold jokes about marital spats and entitled kids as he shares a behind-the-scenes look at his family. Watch trailer. Streaming on Netflix

    America’s Got Talent: New episode. The auditions continue as a variety of acts and contestants of all ages audition for the chance to win $1 million. 8:00 PM ET on NBC

    Parking Lot Payday: New episode. Host Zach Selwyn brings his music trivia show to a Rolling Stones concert, where attendees are given an opportunity to cash in on their knowledge of their favorite band. 8:00 PM ET on AXS TV

    Edge of the Earth: New episode. Elite kayakers Ben Stookesberry, Nouria Newman, and Erik Boomer venture deep within Ecuador’s Llanganates National Park to attempt the first whitewater descent of the Chalupas River. 9:00 PM ET on HBO

    Dancing With Myself: Season 1 finale. A grad student, retail manager, identical twins, and eight other contestants from across the country enter the pods to battle it out over six dance challenges set by celebrity creators Shakira, Nick Jonas, and Liza Koshy. 10:00 PM ET on NBC

    The Great Muslim American Road Trip: Docuseries finale. Mona Haydar and Sebastian Robins meet setbacks and surprises while driving the last leg of Route 66. They learn about a 16th-century Muslim explorer and a Syrian camel driver who surveyed Route 66, and find an unlikely Muslim village in Las Vegas. 10:00 PM ET on PBS

    Celebrity Family Feud: Encore presentation. ABC re-airs the Season 8 finale, featuring battles between the casts of Hacks and Abbott Elementary, and Team Kal Penn vs. Team Erika Christensen. Watch preview. 8:00 PM ET on ABC
