Stars Take to Their Living Rooms For Sunday Night Benefit Concert

    One of the many benefits of our connected age is the way it has allowed the television industry to adapt and change under previously unforeseen circumstances. One of the prime examples at this time of social distancing has been the ability for individuals to communicate and perform remotely for a good cause. Sunday night, Elton John hosts The iHeart Living Room Concert for America, with a slew of A-list performers appearing remotely to recognize America's first responders while raising money for Feeding America and the First Responders Children's Foundation. Also this weekend: executive producer Amy Poehler presents what may be her most oddball comedy series yet, Call the Midwife returns for Season 9, and Last Week Tonight returns with a new episode direct from John Oliver's living room. Here's what's new and noteworthy on TV this weekend:

    SATURDAY MARCH 28

    CABLE PREMIERE: HBO's big Saturday night movie this week is The Kitchen. The 2019 film stars Melissa McCarthy, TIffany Haddish, and Elisabeth Moss as the wives of 1970s gangsters, who take over the family business when their husbands are imprisoned. Watch the trailer. 8:00 PM ET on HBO

    MADE FOR TV MOVIE: The first installment of Hallmark's "Spring Fever" film series, Just My Type follows pop culture writer Vanessa Sills (Bethany Joy Lenz) as she travels from New York City to Washington State to interview bestselling author Martin Clayborne (Brett Dalton).
