It took five-plus years of daily shows, but the women of The View have finally realized what the rest of the world has known for ages: Whoopi Goldberg has no eyebrows.

During a segment ostensibly about the bleached eyebrow trend, which has been seen on stars ranging from Kendall Jenner to Doja Cat, Sara Haines derailed the proceedings with a not-so-observant observation. "Whoopi, I have sat next to you for six years, and never noticed that you have no eyebrows," she said. "And I look right into your eyes, and I did not know this."

"I was married to a man who didn't notice," replied Whoopi, earning a big laugh from the audience. "Until one day, he said, 'Oh my god, you don't have any eyebrows!' And I said, 'Yeah, I know.'"

Sensing an opening to get personal with Whoopi "I Don't Want Somebody In My House" Goldberg, Sunny Hostin asked when her eyebrows exited stage left.

"I had eyebrows as a little kid, and they — you know how men get those bumps, I started to get them on my face," explained The View's longtime moderator. "So my mother removed them. So I just keep doing it because I don't know my face with eyebrows unless I'm working. They put them on and take them off."

Never one to be outdone, Ana Navarro admitted that she was also "today years old when I noticed you had no eyebrows." (Again, ladies, there is no reason to volunteer this information!)

For her part, Whoopi didn't seem surprised that her co-hosts were just now noticing her lack of eyebrows. "What you can see on my face is — you know where they went," she said, closing her eyes to better emphasize the natural lines of her face. "You know where they are. You see. And so when you look at me — you're looking at me, and your eye sees eyebrows when there are none."

Though the segment was winding down, Alyssa Farah Griffin chimed in with an attempt to flatter Whoopi that awkwardly fell flat. "You have such an expressive face, I think it's why you're such a good actress," she said. "I watched Sister Act 2 over the holiday. And you look exactly the same because your face. You have this smile, this whole like — it's perfect... don't do eyebrows."

Elsewhere on The View... Whoopi and her expressive, eyebrow-less face called out Rep. Kevin McCarthy for using an interview about the September 11 attacks to criticize President Biden.

"You can attack who you want any time. If you have any class, you'll remember that Americans died," she said. "If that's not enough to keep your behind on what the prize is, which is making sure this doesn't happen again, and you feel the absolute need to bring up stuff you can bring up a day later, then that's a problem."

"If you can't stick to what the day means, then don't get on television! Nobody wants to see you!" continued Whoopi. "If you don't care about that, don't let us know where you are on that day, okay? You don't have to be seen."
