Whoopi Goldberg is tired of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene's schtick.

On Tuesday morning, Whoopi went off on the Republican congresswoman, who spent the weekend claiming that she "would have won" the January 6 insurrection had she organized it. "Not to mention, it would have been armed," she told the crowd at a New York Young Republican gala on Sunday, prompting a sharp rebuke from the White House.

Greene later said she was joking, but Whoopi and the rest of The View's co-hosts weren't laughing. "I do want to point out to her that it was armed," Whoopi said of the riot at the U.S. Capitol. "140 officers were injured by people using flagpoles, bats, bear spray, and stun guns. Four people died!"

"You think this is funny?!" asked Whoopi. "You think that this is a joke, that you were going to war? You are talking about a coup! You were overthrowing the government! That's what you have been talking about? Don't you hear it?"

Joy Behar then took aim at Greene's claim that she was being sarcastic with her remarks. "She also doesn't seem to know what 'sarcasm' means," said Behar. "When you use sarcasm, you're saying the opposite of what you mean ... This is an example of sarcasm: 'Boy, that Marjorie Taylor Greene is brilliant! She should be in MENSA!' That's sarcasm."

"What does winning look like on January 6?" added Sara Haines. "Does that mean we actually get Mike Pence? Does that mean we take the unconstitutional step of having a vice president deny the Electoral College? What does a victory look like on January 6?"

After some back and forth about whether Republicans will distance themselves from people like Donald Trump and Greene — who would once have been "chased to the fringes," said Alyssa Farah Griffin — Whoopi renewed her criticism of Greene. "I don't understand how people my age who went to school, learned about how democracy works, know the stories of what our parents and grandparents did — we know all these stories," she said. "I don't understand how suddenly, these guys have lost their ability to remember what America stood for."

"If you and I had done this, engaged in this in any way, we would be facing charges!" continued Whoopi. "This woman gets to come and talk about taking over the country and she's not behind bars?! How does that work?!"
