The Knick is poised for a revival with the help of Barry Jenkins and André Holland

Steven Soderbergh says his Cinemax period medical drama, which ran for two seasons from 2014 to 2015, is set to return for a third season. Holland, who starred on The Knick, and Oscar-winning Moonlight filmmaker Jenkins, whom Soderbergh mentored, have been developing an idea for a revival of The Knick for at least two years. “I told them, ’Look, I had, I had my shot. Godspeed, take it in whatever direction you want,'" Soderbergh tells The Playlist. Soderbergh adds that The Knick creators, showrunners, and writers Jack Amiel and Michael Begler were back on board and had already written a pilot episode.
