The CW picks up Kung Fu reboot and The Republic of Sarah

The two dramas join the previously ordered Superman & Lois and Walker as part of The CW's new 2020-21 TV slate. Olivia Liang stars in Kung Fu, while Stella Baker leads The Republic of Sarah, which was previously a rejected CBS pilot last year starring Sarah Drew. Kung Fu is a reboot of the 1970s David Carradine classic, revolving around a young Chinese-American woman's quarter-life crisis in which she uses her martial arts skills and Shaolin values to protect her community from criminals. The Republic of Sarah follows a high schooler who declares her town an independent country.
