Study: Binge-watching TV puts viewers at greater risk for blood clots

Professor Setor Kunutsor of the University of Bristol and his team found that prolonged TV-watchers -- who spend four or more hours a day watching television -- were 35% more likely to develop VTE than those who never or seldom watched TV. VTE, or venous thromboembolism, is caused by blood clots that form in our veins.
