Stuart Damon, longtime General Hospital star, dies at 84

Damon portrayed Dr. Alan Quartermaine on the ABC soap from 1977 until 2008. His character would return for occasional flashback sequences after his character died of a heart attack after being taken hostage in a hotel. Damon also appeared on As the World Turns, Port Charles and Days of Our Lives.
