Starz to tackle the Cyntoia Brown case as a limited drama series

50 Cent, La La Anthony and Santa Sierra are producing The Case of Cyntoia Brown, a limited series dramatizing the story of Cyntoia Brown-Long, who served 15 years of a life sentence for the 2004 killing a man when she was 16 years old in what she said was self-defense. Brown-Long was granted clemency and released in 2019 and now advocates for criminal justice reform and victims of trafficking. Brown-Long's story was the subject of a 2020 Netflix documentary.
