Sam Heughan asks Outlander fans to respect historic shooting locations

"Hopefully, reading our book or other books, people will understand the history of what happened and treat historic sites with the respect they are due," Heughan said in an interview with The Sunday Times. His comments echoed a request from Outlander author Diana Gabaldon, who was alarmed after learning fans grabbed stones from Culloden battlefield as souvenirs.
