Pamela Adlon doesn't know if her upcoming Better Things C-word scene will make it past FX censors

In a Season 4 scene, Adlon's character and her daughters have a fight where they call each other the C-word. But Adlon said at the TV press tour that she hasn't run the scene by FX's Standards & Practices. “I hope that we can keep it because it’s not gratuitous — I don’t believe so. I believe it’s massively important and layered,” Adlon said. “It’s not about the sensationalistic aspect of this word. It’s about who’s saying it and the levels they go through.” Adlon also pointed out that having Disney as FX's new parent company may impact whether the C-word scene airs.
