Netflix's pickup for an eight-episode second season of the critically acclaimed dramedy was announced on stage at Recode's Code conference this afternoon in Arizona, during a conversation with Natasha Lyonne and Netflix vice president of original content Cindy Holland. “Want to do a season two, Natasha?” Holland asked Lyonne during the conversation. “Me, Cindy? Same show, just weirder? Are you sure?” Lyonne replied. “Nadia Vulvokov is a coder, as you know, so I guess it would be somewhat appropriate to maybe have this be the time and place to say yes, very much so, I would love to do that, Cindy.” Lyonne co-created Russian Doll with Leslye Headland and Amy Poehler.
