NBC News and Trump campaign are in talks for a town hall event next Thursday, but the president has to test negative for coronavirus to participate

Now that the Oct. 15 second presidential debate has been scrapped and Joe Biden is doing a town hall event on ABC, NBC is in talks with the Trump campaign to appear in a town hall in primetime the same night. "The NBC event is likely to only occur if certain medical conditions are met, according to two people familiar with the conversations, including Mr. Trump testing negative for the coronavirus," reports The New York Times' Michael R. Grynbaum. Meanwhile, Variety adds that since Biden's Thursday town hall doesn't have a timeslot, it's  unclear if a potential Trump town hall on NBC would go head to head.
