Sports fans were stunned by the thrilling 20-second sports star cameo in the first half hour of Paul Rudd's new Netflix comedy, a clip of which made its way to Twitter Friday night. Stunned because of its connection to one of this year's biggest sports scandals. Turns out creator Timothy Greenberg scripted the cameo four years ago -- long before this year's scandal, as he explained to Refinery 29. Greenberg says he secured the sports star cameo before the scandal. But when it came time to film the cameo after the scandal, the sports star was surprisingly game -- even though Greenberg had a backup plan to use a reference photo.
