Late-night hosts tended to discuss Matt Lauer’s firing by mentioning President Trump

Stephen Colbert opened his Late Show monologue by saying “I am one of the few men still allowed on television.” Jimmy Kimmel weighed in saying, “If anyone knows about inappropriate behavior at the workplace at NBC, it’s Donald J. Trump. Is he aware that he’s him? I don’t think he is. I think he sees Donald Trump on TV and goes, ‘I like that guy.'” Colbert and Jimmy Fallon also brought up how Trump tweeted about the fired Today show host.
