Rachel Bloom tweeted Tuesday afternoon that Groban would appear on Friday’s episode of her CW series. At 2:28 p.m. E.T., Groban tweeted back at Bloom: “And legit one of my favorite things I’ve ever shot! So fun! Thanks again Rachel.” At 3:10 p.m. E.T., Groban tweeted: “Oh my god I just heard gun shots and ran with my dog. Downtown. F*ck.” Groban added that he was half a block from Tuesday’s incident. “I’m shaking,” he tweeted. “That’s the corner I was supposed to have my coffee but my dog pulled me into the park half a block away 10 min before shooting.”
