Jimmy Kimmel slams Sinclair Broadcasting Group -- owner of numerous ABC affiliates -- for forcing local anchors to bash the media

Kimmel tweeted out a link to a viral Deadspin video that showed Sinclair's local anchors eerily reading the same media-bashing script that seemed to echo President Trump's war on "fake news." Sinclair owns at least 33 ABC affiliates and is the largest owner of U.S. TV stations. Stephen Colbert also tweeted out the video over the weekend. Colbert's Late Show is broadcast on at least 27 CBS affiliates owned by Sinclair. According to CNN's Brian Stelter, the local news stations have no choice but to run the anti-media talking points about "fake stories" and "personal bias" plaguing the media. John Oliver also addressed the viral video on Last Week Tonight, saying the anchors looked like "members of a brainwashed cult."
