Jane the Virgin creator Jennie Snyder Urman has two dramas in the works at CBS

Urman is producing Danni Delgado, an adaptation of the 2010 German series Danni Lowinski, with a Latina lead,  from writer Nicki Renna. Danni Delgado revolves around a scrappy hairdresser who graduates from law school and sets up her own practice in a shopping mall kiosk. Snyder previously wrote a pilot for a Danni Lowinski adaptation for The CW in 2010, starring Amanda Walsh. Glee co-creator Ian Brennan also penned an adaptation for NBC three years ago. Urman is reuniting with Jane the Virgin alum Andrea Navedo for The System from writer Elaine Del Valle. "In The System, a compassionate yet jaded social worker — a role that Navedo could potentially play — navigates the same broken New York City system she grew up in as she advocates to resolve issues for every family she encounters while struggling to fix her own," per Deadline. Navedo will serve as executive producer.
