Gina Rodriguez sells 2 immigration dramas — one titled Illegal — to CBS and CW

For CBS, the Jane the Virgin star is producing Have Mercy, based on a German format, about a Latina doctor who immigrates to Miami and opens a makeshift clinic in her apartment. CW’s Illegal would focus on a 16-year-old high school student who discovers he’s an illegal immigrant.
