George Lopez is reteaming with his ABC George Lopez sitcom co-creator and current The Conners showrunner Bruce Helford on Lopez vs. Lopez, a working-class family multicamera comedy pilot for NBC. Lopez vs. Lopez will star George Lopez and his 25-year-old daughter Mayan Lopez, who guest-starred on her dad's sitcom at age 11. The father-daughter duo also appeared together in a 2017 episode of Celebrity Family Feud. Lopez vs. Lopez was created by Debby Wolfe a Salvadoran-American writer who is co-executive producer on The Conners and held the same job on One Day at a Time. Helford, who will serve as executive producer on the potential series, took Wolfe's idea to the Lopezes. If picked up, Lopez vs. Lopez would mark George Lopez's return to network TV after starring on six seasons and 120 episodes of the sitcom George Lopez from 2002 to 2007. George Lopez has continued to perform strongly in syndication.
