Disney+'s The Proud Family reboot plans to tackle race and other "taboo" topics

"We're absolutely going to get into our own issues with our own race, and then deal with a lot of other racial issues that are really taboo," creator Bruce W. Smith said in a recent interview about his Disney+ revival The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder. "But we're going to have fun with it. Because that's what the show's about and I'd think that us coming back, that's what they would expect."
